Although the CSS 2021 precis and composition paper was quite tricky, I was delighted when some of my students called and told me that they were quite sure about synonyms and antonyms, sentence corrections, prepositions, and above all punctuation and paragraph writing. They think that whatever I had taught them became part of the paper. No, my dear, the truth is you people have practised each concept thoroughly for 5 to 6 months. In this sentence, replace the wordWithoutwithUnless. Both wordsUnlessandUntilare often taken as synonymous by competitive students, but their meanings are different. Remember, the wordUnlessrefers to a condition not being met. In comparison, the wordUntilrefers to a time threshold not being crossed.

Correction
If two nouns, pronouns, or a noun like things are connected with as well as in addition to besides like unlike with along with together with accompanied by led by headed by guided by controlled by governed by, etc., then the verb must be in accordance with the noun or pronoun that comes before these words.
Remember, we writers always place commas before and after these words when used to connect more than two nouns or pronouns. Thus, the correct sentences can be,

Correction:
We always saySports Club, not Sport Club . So, replaceSport ClubwithSports Club. Moreover, when we want to enquire about something, we use the quantifier Any , which can be used with the countable and uncountable noun equally. Thus, the correction is,

The coat is quite big.
Correction:
We always use the prepositionQuitebefore the articleA. Remember, modern grammarians normally do not use this preposition.
The adverbToois generally used before an adjective or adverb to talk about something that is more than good, necessary, possible, etc.
Thus, the correction is,
The coat is too big.
It is only a short travel by train.
Correction:
The wordTravelis a verb, and we usually don t use it as a noun. Whereas, the wordJourneyis a noun that means the act of going from one place to another. So, replace the wordTravelwithJourney.
